‎‏ Had we one day become apart

‎‏ Let me tell you about that night when we argued, we cried, had we one day become apart. About that night when you cried scared of the bruises, bruises of the memories had we one day become apart.

Let me tell you about that ride that night when you cried whispering into my ear how much you love me, and I loved you. About that ride when I screamed, while you were sleeping on that seat, tucked under that blanket.

Let me tell you about the longing for the afternoons, for the sheen of sun of those afternoons together. About all the scares that happened and about that winter that never happened; about the words that were never said, and the lines that were never read.

Now would you let me tell you about your hands, your eyes going to sleep every time I loved them, I loved you?
